As forest communities one after another have been demolished, new tree houses and occupations and their extended defenses have been popping up like mushrooms after the rain: Fendria, Ghostown and Paragraph 11.
P11 and Ghostown have been surrounded by all around barricade-like walls, with inside a village like community of ground blockaders with kitchens, supply storage. P11 has areas protected not just by one perimeter of rampart walls,
This Sunday we are calling for decentralized actions in solidarity with the Hambach Forest!
Here are some actions that are taking place today. We are looking forward to joining.
Berlin, in front of the parliament:
The deadly event in the Hambach Forest on 19.09.2018 shocked me, in my already existing sadness and nervous overstimulation, and almost made me freeze up. To work against this feeling of suspension, I tried, with the following cutout of my memory, to process my experiences, which I luckily have the possibility to share. Only days before I was brought into a life-threatening situation, by police-officers and RWE-workers hand-in-hand. With this small piece of text, I am trying to encourage people who say „they are doing a great job“ or „the activists are bringing themselves into danger“ to reconsider. To all police-officers who had doubts, whether at the place of action or in the detention centre: just stop only following orders and defending your own situation. Think about it, and change it.
LORIEN STILL RESISTANT, REUL STILL AN ASS
Another day is over in this tough, weeks-long eviction by police and state machinery for the profits of RWE and their coal lobby.
After the destruction of Oaktown, Gallien, Cozytown, Beechtown and Kleingartenverein, Lorien is the last major occupation that is still fought for. For days, the police there tried to evict the people from their tree houses.
But thanks to the great support of sitting blocks, standing blocks and the presence of many people on spot, we achieved that almost all tree houses are still standing. TakaTuka is the only tree house from where the climbing police today “saved” people with lift trucks
