In 2015, the 21st COP (UN-Climate Summit) will take place in Paris. We
expect the results to be pathetic. And while global CO2 emissions from
more and more coal-fired power plants are rising dramatically, we take
climate justice into our own hands. It is high time to be serious about
phasing out coal!

Skillsharing Camp April

Let’s go to the Skillsharing Camp in the forest of Hambach April 6 – 12, 2015 / Germany-Cologne
Spring’s coming and the forest will wake from its slumber and the first greenery will be stretching towards the sun. The birds arrive and yet again forest of several kilometres of length and 200 metres of width has been destroyed.The “No tree will fall” campain, the wintertime and the seasonal deforestation are coming to a close. There were blockades, occupations, discussions, vigils, trials and detentions. By appearing in public and in the media and going into debate we have brought our rejection of technologies that are hostile to life, like gaining electricity from coal, into the open. Camabaran, France: Communique from the MaquiZAD – on the recent roadblock

It’s now more than one month since the occupation of the Forest House, and that the cabins replace the massively destructive machines in the forest. We are here, and good here.
In spite of the cold and the snow, in spite of the pressure exerted by the gendarmerie[1], in spite of the various attacks that we have suffered, in spite of the frequent sabotages of structures, life goes on at the Maquizad.
