In the course of militarized assault on the meadow on August 28, an activist from the forest was taken down off the kitchen roof after updating the outside on the situation in the meadow and arrested He was taken to the police HQ in Aachen, where he was identified. It was found that there is still an outstanding fines for previous accusations resulting out of actions in the Hambach Forest. The police therefore threatened with a sentence of 150 days jail. The daily rates were advanced by a solidarity private person who is no financial standing to cover the costs long term. As fines are an attempt to drain financial resources of the movement please help us gather funds to at least partially repay this sum. We ask you to carry together this penalty of 1500 € (10 € x 150 days) ! Please participate in this donation call. No JUStice – no peace!

UP III Severly isolated from outside with visits and mail rejected

UP III has been imprisoned for two months now on circumstantial evidence, the defense not being access to their files to be able to organize defense and call witnesses. Despite first visits being applied for a day after prisoner’s arrest no visits were considered till after 7 weeks of detention. What makes this case particularly troubling is that unlike many German speaking prisoners from Hambi who were detained numerous times under similar charges and for equal time and who did not have mail being delayed or controlled and in some cases were able to receive a massive amount of support mail within days. UPIII, like Jus who was english speaking, like UP2(Spanish) and UP4(French) has had her mail completely blocked and in over two month has received only two letters.

Progressing climate, social and ecological breakdown is pulling the rest of society and western civilization down into a downward spiral of militarized “creeping fascism” disaster-capitalism. This dynamic is seen nowhere better than on the front-line of green resistance against extractionism here in Hambach Forest. It is reflected by the treatment of our comrades who have been automatically imprisoned for blockading RWE deforestation and for choosing to stay anonymous. Instead of being given a mere illusion and pretense of “fair trial” instead show the true ugly face of repression and the spectacle that the co-option of local politicians and police by coal extractionism has made of the legal system.

After over two months of being fucked with by the cops UP2 has been released this week. Your letters and humor was a weapon and response to injustice and force that has inspired many on the outside. THANKS AND WELCOME on the outside.

The list of activists who have been imprisoned under all types of bogus and trumped up charges reflects the State’s frustration at the ongoing campaign of ecotaging, resisting and blockading the larges single CO₂ emitter in Europe. The list of those behind the walls can only be expected to grow as eviction will take place following the court ruling to continue obliterating the unique habitat of Millenarian Hambach Forest.
