As Hambi Comrades have now been thrown into a jail for going on a month, not just in record numbers and for charges such as not identifying themselves and obstructing police for which all before were release pending trial. What they are really guilty of in the eyes of the State is resisting the opening up of the Forest for destruction, yes the one year hold on cutting this season does not mean anything if RWE is able to use the police this year to try to get rid of us and then continue to cut the forest in the next 2018 to 2019 logging season dumping into the atmosphere mega tons of Carbon and other toxins in contained in the lignite that rests under the forest floor. The Hambi9 and now still the Hambi4 are not just for these infractions that were never before used to hold people in jail for so long and also had their inquest for pretrial hearing on the validity of their detention rejected and not heard. They are there not just for these unprecedented infractions, they are there for protecting the forest, the climate and their homes in the ancient Hambach Forest. Once again please support them and spread the world of their struggle and imprisonment.
Next week will be a month that they have been incarcerated.

Die Vier sind jetzt fast schon einen Monat in Haft
Unsere Hambi-Kamerad*innen sind nun fast seit einem Monat in Gewahrsam (nächsten Montag werden es vier Wochen). Noch nie in der Geschichte der Besetzung waren für einen solch langen Zeitraum so viele Aktivist*innen gleichzeitig inhaftiert. Aufgrund von Anschuldigungen wie der Verweigerung von Personalienangaben und Widerstands gegen Vollstreckungsbeamte wurden bislang noch immer alle freigelassen bei aktuell noch bevorstehenden Gerichtsprozessen. Tatsächlich bestehen in den Augen des Staats die Anschuldigungen darin, Widerstand geleistet zu haben gegen die Herstellung der Zugänglichkeit des Waldes vor seiner Vernichtung. Schließlich bedeutet die Rodungspause bis Oktober nichts, solange es RWE möglich ist, unter Mithilfe der Polizei Räumungsversuche zu unternehmen. So sind wir weg von der Bildfläche und die nächste Rodungssaison kann stattfinden. Im Endeffekt werden dann weitere Millionen Tonnen CO2 und giftige Schwermetalle aus der Braunkohle unter dem Wald in die Atmosphäre geblasen. Die Hambi9, jetzt Hambi4, werden nicht nur für Vergehen festgehalten, die noch nie vorher dazu geführt haben, um Menschen so lange zu inhaftieren. Nicht einmal einem Haftprüfungsantrag wurde Gehör geschenkt bzw. stattgegeben. So sitzen die Hambi4 nicht nur im Gefängnis wegen unverhältnismäßiger (beispielloser) Anschuldigungen, sondern ebenfalls aus dem simplen Grund, den Wald, das Klima und ihr Zuhause im uralten Hambacher Forst bewahren zu wollen.
Bitte unterstützt die Inhaftierten weiter und verbreitet Informationen und Nachrichten über den Konflikt und die aktuelle Situation der Hambi4, gerne auch durch Crosspostings bei Twitter, wo es momentan Schwierigkeiten gibt mit unserem Account.
